Detailed itinerary
Day 1: Travel to Kibale National Park
Have breakfast in a hotel in Kampala and after, leave for Kibale National Park 300kms/5 hours’ drive. On Kampala-Mubende-Fort Portal city route while enjoying splendid views of the countryside, landscape and local markets. Lunch will be enjoyed in Fort Portal and you proceed to the lodge or Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary for a guided nature walk to see variety of unique primates, birds, flora etc. Retreat after a nature walk and have the rest of the evening relaxing at the lodge.

Day 2 of 6 days luxury Uganda gorilla safari: Chimpanzee tracking-Queen Elizabeth National Park
Day 2 of 6 days luxury Uganda gorilla safari: Starts the day with an early morning breakfast, after, get to Kanyanchu Visitor Center for briefing on chimpanzee tracking rules. At 8:00am will be starting time for your search for chimpanzees for 2-4 hours in Kibale Forest. Other than a magical chimp encounter, expect to meet lots of interesting primates, butterflies, plant species, bird species etc.
When you get back to the lodge, have lunch and then transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Queen Elizabeth National Park is positioned suitably in Western Uganda, 2-3 hours’ drive from Kibale. As you drive to your luxury lodge, enjoy amazing view of diverse wildlife, birds, landscape etc.

Day 3: Game drive, boat/launch cruise, Queen Elizabeth National Park
Early morning cup of tea or coffee, after, set off for a 3-4 hours guided game drive along the Northern sector “Kasenyi” to see variety of savanna wildlife. In a 4WD tourist car, enjoy views of African bush lions, leopards, buffaloes, elephants, antelope families including bushbucks, Kobs, waterbucks; warthogs, birds etc. Return afterwards, have a leisurely lunch and later, there will be an afternoon boat cruise 2-3 hours along Kazinga channel. Kazinga channel boat cruise allows you see lots of hippos, Nile crocodiles, aquatic birds and many more.

Day 4: Game drive Ishasha, travel to Bwindi
At 8:00am after breakfast, drive to Ishasha for amazing encounter with the tree climbing lions while on a game drive. Proceed to your lodge after a game drive at Ishasha sector the Southern sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park. Bwindi is in the Southwestern part of Uganda and shelters a vast rain forest 331sq.kms, 3 waterfalls, 459 mountain gorillas, 360 bird species etc.

Day 5: Gorilla trekking in the impenetrable forest of Bwindi
After breakfast, leave your luxury lodge for briefing at Buhoma park headquarters or any other sector in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Start 2-6 hours’ trek to see a habituated gorilla family allocated to you in a group of 8 visitors. Return to the lodge after one hour of a close encounter. In the evening, set off for a cultural encounter in the Batwa community.
